The Honorary Consulate of San Marino in the UK is pleased to announce that through its full patronage given to the Esharelife Christmas Concert, it has been possible to raise money for children education in Kenya covering the needs of 350 children for one year.
More than 350 children from some of Kenya’s worst slum communities will have a school place, uniforms – including shoes and socks – and two meals five days a week thanks to a charity’s live-streamed international concert. For all of them these will be their only new clothes and the only days they eat two meals.
The Esharelife Christmas Concert on 16 December 2020 saw artists from all over the world perform across Zoom, YouTube and via the charity’s own web portal. Supporters bought tickets and then took up the offer to make further donations through DonorBox, Amazon Smile, Virgin Money Giving, social media platforms and the Esharelife website.
The three-hour and 45-minute concert was hosted by Esharelife Chair and Founder Dr Maurizio Bragagni with the charity’s Vice President Mr Domenico Aiello co-presenting an introduction to the evening. Musicians, groups, duos and solo artists from across the globe tuned in to entertain an international audience.
Throughout the concert, breaks were used to share interviews with charity project leaders, senior politicians and major benefactors who in turn offered their thanks and congratulations on the success of the evening. And, of course, the event was opened by non-other than Father Christmas.
Dr Antonino Masuri, project manager for AVSI Kenya gave an insight into the work enabled by Esharelife.org’s support and Esharelife.org patrons Dr Selva Pankaj and Lord Rami Ranger CBE offered thoughts around the incredible difference that support enabled.
The Rt Hon Sir John Hayes MP, the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP and the Rt Hon Greg Clark MP all offered testimonials for Esharelife.org with supporting comments from Mr Simon Blagden CBE, Esharelife Foundation Ambassador.
If you missed the concert you still have the possibility to watch it from our YouTube channel.
Esharelife Foundation focuses on access to education for girls, often denied school places and the empowerment of women. Research shows that these measures, which protect girls and women from harm and enable them to become economic contributors, have positive health impacts on families, communities, and local economies.
