Consul Bragagni welcomes to London the Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino

The Consul, Prof Maurizio Bragagni Esq OBE, welcomed at Heathrow VIP Longue the delegation from San Marino, headed by the Captains Regent, Their Excellencies Alessandro Scarano I and Adele Tonnini I, accompanied by the Director of Diplomatic Protocol, Minister Plenipotentiary Silvia Berti.

The Consul, together with Minister Plenipotentiary Berti, will accompany the Captains Regent during their visit to the UK on the occasion of the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, which will take place in the Westminster Abbey 0n 6th of May 2023.

The Captain’s Regent brought the most heartfelt congratulations from San Marino, the oldest Republic in the world, to the new King of one of the oldest monarchies in the World. Their presence in the Coronation ceremony testifies to that special relationship that both countries have nourished for centuries.

On this occasion, the Captain’s Regent expressed their belief that King Charles III will be a wise and capable leader in serving the UK people and upholding the universal values of freedom and democracy around the world.
