Returning to the University of Pisa was a special moment for Consul Bragagni, who studied at the university and has maintained a strong connection with its academic community.
During his visit to the Department of Veterinary Sciences, Prof. Bragagni met Professor Vincenzo Miragliotta, Director of the Department, Professor of Veterinary Anatomy and a member of the University’s Academic Senate.
Their meeting focused on education, research, animal welfare and the role of universities in serving society. They also discussed the importance of cooperation between universities, businesses, institutions and international organisations.
The Department of Veterinary Sciences combines teaching, scientific research and practical clinical work. Its activities cover important areas including animal health, food safety, veterinary medicine and animal welfare.
A return to his academic roots
For Consul Bragagni, the visit had a personal meaning. Returning to the university where he studied was an opportunity to reflect on the importance of education and the role it has played in his professional journey.
Today, Prof. Bragagni serves as Alternate Governor for the Republic of San Marino at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Honorary Consul of the Republic of San Marino to the United Kingdom, and Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at Bayes Business School. Across these roles, he has continued to promote education, responsible leadership and international cooperation.
