Consul Bragagni Participated in the Annual Meeting of the Sammarinese Diplomatic and Consular Corps

The Consulate of the Republic of San Marino in the United Kingdom is pleased to share that Consul Maurizio Bragagni attended the annual meeting of the Sammarinese Diplomatic and Consular Corps in San Marino. Hosted by the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs at the Palazzo Pubblico, the gathering brought together ambassadors and consuls from across the world to review the Republic’s external action and renew the shared commitment to serving Sammarinese citizens abroad.

The meeting offered a timely opportunity to take stock of current priorities in foreign policy, economic cooperation and citizen services. Participants reflected on ways to strengthen coordination across the network—particularly in support of businesses, students and professionals who act as bridges between San Marino and their host countries. Discussions also highlighted the role of innovation and digital transition in improving consular assistance and promoting San Marino’s international profile.

A central moment of the day was the presentation of the first yearbook of San Marino’s foreign policy, La Repubblica nel mondo. Annuario della politica estera sammarinese (I/2025), curated by Prof. Michele Chiaruzzi. The publication provided a clear overview of recent initiatives and future areas of focus, serving as a valuable reference point for the work of the Corps in the year ahead.

Consul Bragagni contributed perspectives from the United Kingdom, underlining the Consulate’s work to deepen bilateral relations, foster practical partnerships with British institutions in trade, education, culture and research, and maintain close engagement with the Sammarinese community across the UK. The meeting’s constructive, forward-looking exchanges reinforced the spirit of collaboration that characterises San Marino’s diplomacy, with colleagues sharing best practices to turn national objectives into tangible results for citizens, businesses and partners worldwide.

The Consulate thanks the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs and fellow representatives for the warm welcome and productive discussions. Building on the outcomes of the meeting, the Consulate will continue its efforts in the United Kingdom to promote opportunities for cooperation, support the Sammarinese community, and strengthen the friendship between San Marino and the UK.
