On 29 March 2026, Consul Prof Maurizio Bragagni OBE participated in a public presentation at La Feltrinelli Point in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy, moderated by Stefano Parati. The event focused on his latest book, L’amicizia, un segreto da condividere (Never Give Up: Vision, Determination and the Strength of Friendships, co-authored with Alessandro Vergni, who also joined the discussion.
During the conversation, Consul Bragagni reflected on defining moments from his extensive career in business and diplomacy. He shared insights from his journey from provincial Italy to becoming an international businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and diplomatic representative, later honoured with an OBE.

The Consul spoke candidly about challenges, including navigating the political and economic shifts of the Brexit era, as well as opportunities, such as his philanthropic work with the Esharelife Foundation, his candidacy for the Italian Senate, and his role as Honorary Consul of the Republic of San Marino. Through these experiences, he illustrated how determination and clarity of purpose can lead to meaningful outcomes.
The central message of the event resonated deeply with the attendees, underscoring Consul Bragagni’s profound conviction that individual potential is not limited by one’s origin or circumstances. His philosophy, passionately articulated throughout the proceedings, posits that any person, from any walk of life, possesses the inherent capacity to enact meaningful and positive change in the world.
This transformative capability, Consul Bragagni stressed, is cultivated through a powerful synergy of three essential pillars: a clear and compelling personal vision, unwavering perseverance and determination in the face of obstacles, and the strength of deep, enduring friendships. It is this combination of forward-looking ambition, tenacious effort, and a supportive network that he believes empowers individuals to make a truly significant difference.
