The Consulate of the Republic of San Marino to the United Kingdom on 14Il 6 Jun 2025 was deeply honoured to host a Reception in celebration of His Majesty The King’s Birthday, following the magnificent Trooping the Colour ceremony. Held at the prestigious In and Out Naval and Military Club, this distinguished occasion brought together a remarkable gathering of dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps, Sammarinese citizens, and esteemed friends in a spirit of unity, celebration, and mutual respect.

At this special Reception, the Consulate was proud to welcome H.E. Dr Luca Beccari, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of San Marino, whose presence signified the strength and warmth of the bilateral relations between the Republic of San Marino and the United Kingdom. Additionally, the event greatly benefited from the presence of Dr Paolo Rondelli, former Captain Regent and Director of the Cultural Institute of San Marino, and Mr Alan Gasperoni, representing the Secretary of State for Tourism, Posts, Cooperation, Expo, Information, and Attraction of Tourism Investments of the Republic of San Marino.
Honorary Consul Prof. Maurizio Bragagni Esq OBE was also pleased to receive H.E. Mr Ivan Romero-Martinez, Ambassador of Honduras to the UK and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, whose participation underscored the occasion’s diplomatic significance.

The event also welcomed several esteemed members of the diplomatic corps, among them: H.E. Mr HC V Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India, H.E. Ms. Iruthisham Adam, High Commissioner of the Maldives; H.E. Ms. Katerina Stavreska, Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia; H.E. Ms. Macenje Mazoka, High Commissioner of Zambia; H.E. Ms. Nimisha Madhvani, Ambassador of Uganda to the UK; and H.E. Mr. Goran Aleksić, Ambassador of Serbia to the UK. Their participation reflected the international camaraderie that is at the heart of diplomatic engagement and highlighted the spirit of friendship that animated the celebration.

The Consulate was further privileged to receive distinguished British public figures, including The Rt Hon Dame Priti Patel MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary, and Cav. Mr Andrew Rosindell MP, Shadow Minister for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and Chairman of the San Marino All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG). Their gracious presence reaffirmed the enduring bonds of friendship and shared values between our two nations.

A meaningful highlight of the event was the warm welcome extended to members of the Sammarinese community residing in the United Kingdom. Honorary Consul Prof. Bragagni conveyed his heartfelt thanks to those Sammarinese citizens who, through their dedication and engagement, continue to uphold and share the values and cultural heritage of San Marino. Their contribution to life in the UK and to the international profile of our Republic is invaluable.
