The Consulate of San Marino in London is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the new edition of the Emma Rossi International Award, titled “WOMEN WHO CHANGE THE WORLD”. This distinguished award, promoted by the Emma Rossi Association, aims to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of women working in healthcare and social care, including scientific research.
This year’s edition holds special significance, as it honours the 70th anniversary (1955–2025) of the establishment of the healthcare and social security system in the Republic of San Marino. The award seeks to spotlight women who have made impactful contributions in health and social services, reaffirming the central value of universal medical care and human dignity.
The initiative has received official patronage from:
- The Secretariat of State for Education and Culture
- The Secretariat of State for Health and Social Security of the Republic of San Marino
The Emma Rossi International Award includes a monetary prize of €5,000. The Jury, composed of esteemed professionals in the fields of medicine and academia, will evaluate the nominations and select the winner by 8 March 2026.

Who Can Submit a Nomination
As defined in Article 6 of the Official Regulations, the following entities are eligible to submit candidacies:
- National and international women’s associations
- Individual citizens (residents) or groups
- Communities or Associations of San Marino citizens abroad
- The Consultation of Associations
- Castle Councils
- NGOs, ONLUS, and other national or international associations
- Order of Journalists of the Republic of San Marino
- Order of Surgeons and Dentists of the Republic of San Marino
- Diplomatic and consular representations of San Marino
- Secondary School
- Università della Repubblica di San Marino
How to Apply
Applications must include:
- Personal details of both the proposer and the candidate
- A short report justifying the nomination
- A presentation of the candidate
