He was first conferred the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.consolatosanmarino.uk\/en\/news\/dominic-johnson-cbe-receives-the-order-of-saint-agatha\/\">Order of Saint Agatha<\/a><\/strong> in September 2021, in acknowledgment of his steadfast commitment to advancing the interests of both nations through enhanced diplomatic and commercial relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since receiving this initial recognition, Lord Johnson has played a pivotal role in strengthening UK\u2013San Marino relations. As a respected public servant, financier, and Conservative peer, he has worked to support key bilateral negotiations, including frameworks aimed at avoiding double taxation and facilitating trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ceremony was held on 8 April 2025, in the historic heart of San Marino, during which Lord Johnson was formally elevated to <strong>Grand Officer<\/strong> <strong>of the Equestrian Order of Saint Agatha.<\/strong> This solemn ceremony was presided over by <strong>His Excellency Dr Luca Beccari<\/strong>, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. The award underscores Lord Johnson\u2019s enduring commitment to transnational collaboration and mutual respect between democratic institutions.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the proceedings, Lord Johnson took the opportunity to reiterate his <strong>\u201csincere admiration for the world\u2019s oldest Republic\u201d<\/strong>, highlighting the enduring values shared between the United Kingdom and San Marino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the ceremony, Lord Johnson and his family members were received in private audience at the <strong>Palazzo Pubblico<\/strong> by the <strong>Captains Regent<\/strong>, Their Excellences <strong>Mrs Denise Bronzetti<\/strong> and <strong>Mr Italo Righi<\/strong>. The cordial meeting served as a reaffirmation of the longstanding friendship and shared aspirations of the two nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Johnson&#8217;s professional journey reflects a balance of entrepreneurial achievement and public responsibility.
